Program Coordinator

Full-Time Permanent
Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000

Program Coordinator – The Operational Heart of Indigenous Storytelling
As the Program Coordinator, you are the operational backbone of the ISO’s funding initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Funding Programs, you ensure our mission to empower Indigenous screen storytellers is translated into accessible and impactful opportunities. You are the “point of contact” for every application, providing the precision and care necessary to drive representation across the industry.

The Role at a Glance
First point of Access: Manage the intake, eligibility, and completeness checks for all applications with high precision.
Data Catalyst: Provide Program Managers with the critical data and support needed to evaluate funding fairly and efficiently.
Cross-Functional Support: Work across the ISO Story Fund and Canada Media Fund (administered by ISO) to keep programs running smoothly.
Liaison of Impact: Ensure administrative excellence so that Indigenous creators can focus on what they do best: telling their stories.

Required experience and qualifications

What you bring
Experience: 3+ years in program coordination or administration, including at least 1 year within an Indigenous arts/cultural environment.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the film/TV sector and government funding (Federal and Provincial) is a major asset.
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level Excel skills and experience with CRM databases (Salesforce, Telefilm’s Dialogue, etc.).
Analytical Rigor: A sharp eye for detail when reviewing legal documents, contracts, and project budgets.
Communication: Exceptional written/verbal skills; Bilingualism (English/French) or proficiency in an Indigenous language is a significant asset.
