A’PI 2026, an event dedicated to employment, training and skills development
Three components. One shared direction.
A’PI brings the AKIMA Conference, MAMU Fair and First Nations and Inuit Regional Forum together under one banner. Over three days, communities, network teams, employers and partners will share knowledge, better understand realities on the ground and build meaningful connections.
The event will take place from December 1–3, 2026 at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel.

A’PI at a glance
Three components together, each with its own role
A’PI creates a path from reflection to discussion, and from discussion to concrete opportunities.
The AKIMA Conference explores practices related to pre-employability and employability. MAMU Fair creates opportunities for direct conversations with employers, organizations and resources. The Regional Forum brings realities, issues and possible courses of action into dialogue.
The First Nations Human Resources Development Commission of Quebec (FNHRDCQ) brings these three events together to create a coherent experience while preserving the distinct role of each one.

Past events and milestones
Events that laid the groundwork
A’PI builds on events that have already brought together communities, Employment and Training Service Centre (ETSC) teams, employers, businesses and partners in different regions of Quebec.
Through past editions of MAMU Fair, the Regional Forums and the AKIMA Conference, participants have shared needs and practices and started new collaborations.
In 2026, A’PI brings these three components together under one banner to create a coherent experience and extend the reach of the conversations.
A’PI does not replace these events. It connects them.
MAMU holds a hybrid edition in Montreal.
MAMU continues in Quebec City, while the Regional Forum keeps bringing communities, employers and partners together.
MAMU takes place in Val-d’Or, the Regional Forum in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and the AKIMA Conference in Trois-Rivières.
A’PI brings the three components together in Montreal.

First Nations and Inuit Regional Forum
Bring realities on the ground into dialogue
The Forum places community realities, needs and priorities at the centre of the discussion.
It creates a space for dialogue among community representatives, Employment and Training Service Centre (ETSC) teams, employers and partners to better understand the issues and identify responses that reflect the realities being shared.

MAMU brings employers, organizations, services and resources together in a space designed for direct conversations.
Participants can get information, explore employment and training opportunities and make connections that can continue after the event.
