The Karáhkwa Recognition Program highlights organizations that take concrete action to create workplaces that are more inclusive, respectful and culturally safe.

It recognizes initiatives that support hiring, welcoming and integrating talent from First Nations and Inuit communities.

The Karáhkwa Recognition Program aims to recognize the concrete actions organizations put in place to improve their practices.

Whether through participation in an event, a workshop or a support process, each commitment represents an important step toward a workplace that is better equipped, more welcoming and culturally safe.

The program values real, measurable progress that carries meaning. It highlights the efforts of organizations that want to deepen their cultural understanding, strengthen their welcoming practices and support the long-term integration of talent from First Nations and Inuit communities.

Three badge categories

Preparation badge — Karáhkwa Recognition Program by the FNHRDCQ

Preparation Badge

The Preparation Badge recognizes organizations that are beginning their journey by taking part in an awareness, cultural safety or cultural humility workshop.

Example: taking part in a workshop that raises awareness of the realities of First Nations and Inuit communities.
Action badge — Karáhkwa Recognition Program by the FNHRDCQ

Action Badge

The Action Badge recognizes organizations that actively take part in a concrete initiative led by the FNHRDCQ, such as an event, campaign or networking activity.

Example: participating in an activity such as Salon MAMU, the Forum or Atushkan rapid interviews.
Integration badge — Karáhkwa Recognition Program by the FNHRDCQ

Integration Badge

The Integration Badge recognizes organizations that go further by putting in place conditions that support the welcoming and long-term integration of talent within the workplace.

Example: cultural safety support or an integration process carried out within your organization.
