Graphic Designer

Job description

Help shape the image of a committed organization! The FNQLHSSC is looking for a passionate graphic designer to create and develop its visual identity, act as a resource person for the team, and ensure the entire graphic chain from needs analysis to final distribution.

• Produce innovative concepts that reflect First Nations culture.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of the organization’s visual identity standards and ensure their application across all communication materials and channels.
• Translate the organization’s communication needs and strategic directions into creative graphic concepts that are tailored to target audiences.
• Advise organizational staff on developing visual solutions, from needs analysis to recommending appropriate graphic approaches, and ensure project follow-up.
• Contribute to the development of communication strategies by collaborating on strategic reflection and translating directions into aligned and effective graphic solutions.
• Produce, adapt, and update print and digital communication tools (posters, brochures, reports, presentations, web and social media visuals, etc.).
• Perform graphic layout, adaptation and corrections, and prepare files for printing or digital distribution, in accordance with technical standards.
• Stay informed of trends and best practices in graphic design, formulate recommendations, and suggest avenues for continuous improvement.

Required experience and qualifications

• University degree in graphic design or a related field (technical training in graphic design, combined with significant experience in the field, may compensate for the lack of a university degree).
• 3 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Knowledge and understanding of First Nations cultures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written French and English.

Salary
The gross annual salary is between $62,407.80 and $76,913.20 and varies according to the candidate’s experience.
