Material Handler

Job description

The Material Handler reports to the Logistics and Warehouse Foreperson. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the store and warehouse team. This position is offered as a temporary replacement.

RESPONSABILITIES
Perform daily duties in the warehouse;
Create (custom) wooden packaging for pump shipment;
Ensure possession of raw materials for package manufacturing;
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse;
Create and identify storage spaces for merchandise;
Perform forklift operator duties;
Conduct inventory on orders received;
Use in-house software to track pumps;
Cycle count the pumps;
Maintain plant and yard cleanliness and inspect own work equipment;
Assist with pump shipment;
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required experience and qualifications

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma and experience working in a similar position would be an asset.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Forklift operator training (an asset);
Training in slinging and using overhead cranes (an asset).

SOFT SKILLS
The incumbent must possess the following qualities:

Great manual skills (handling construction equipment).
