🕒 Status: Contract, 400 hours
📅 Duration: February to May 2026 (renewable possibility)

🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI), a school board serving the 14 Nunavik communities, is seeking a General Education Teacher for adult learners. The role includes teaching English and other subjects in multi-level classrooms, supporting literacy, and fostering the academic and professional development of adult students.

✅ Responsibilities:

Teach general education in English and support adult literacy
Adapt instruction to multi-level classrooms and learner needs
Plan, prepare, and deliver courses according to MEES curriculum
Use pedagogical and digital tools, including Moodle
Evaluate and monitor learner progress
Collaborate with teaching staff and educational partners

💰 Salary:
From $52,799 to $102,857 per year, based on experience and qualifications

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications:

Teaching license or Bachelor’s degree in Education (specializations: orthopedagogy, andragogy, ESL or native English)
Experience teaching adults and multi-level classes
Ability to teach in English
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) may be considered even if they do not meet all qualifications, subject to a training program determined by the School Board

Knowledge of MEES curriculum
Experience teaching English or French as a second language
Familiarity with Moodle and other digital teaching tools
