Job description

🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI), a school board serving the 14 Nunavik communities, is seeking a Senior IT Technician to join its Information Technology Services team. The successful candidate will provide technical support to schools and administrative offices while contributing to the deployment and maintenance of IT systems across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as team leader for IT technicians when required

  • Maintain and repair wired and wireless network equipment

  • Install software and prepare computers for shipment to schools

  • Draft operational procedures and user guides

  • Train users and provide technical and office support

  • Assist analysts with testing and implementation of IT solutions

  • Perform any other related duties as required

💰 Salary:
From $27.71 to $39.88 per hour, based on qualifications and experience

Required experience and qualifications

Qualifications:

  • College diploma (DEC) in Information Technology or equivalent

  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience

👉 Special consideration:
Applicants who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) may be considered even if they do not meet all listed qualifications, provided they agree to complete a training program determined by the School Board.

Requirements & Assets:

  • Proficiency in two of the three working languages (Inuktitut, French, English)

  • Initiative, autonomy, and strong customer-service orientation

  • Knowledge of macOS, Office 365, SCCM deployment (asset)

  • Experience with iPad MDM solutions (asset)

  • Experience in a school board or northern environment (asset)

  • Willingness to travel throughout Nunavik as required
