ME-04 – $65,436 to $79,533 per year
Permanent Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)

The Partnerships and Donations Officer works closely with management to develop and maintain long-term relationships with donors, partners, and sponsors, including by implementing stewardship plans. He or she is responsible for creating impact reports and communications for donors, while ensuring partner recognition and consistency in information.

The position also involves preparing proposals, coordinating the annual report and other recognition initiatives, as well as organizing events and fundraising activities. Finally, the officer may manage a small portfolio of partners and act as an ambassador for the Museum within the donor community.

Required experience and qualifications

Education and training:

Completion of a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in fundraising, museum studies, communications, public relations, marketing, business administration, or another related field and some relevant experience; or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

Language requirements:

English and French are essential

Experience:

• Minium of 1 year of experience in partnership, donor or sponsorship stewardship, donor/client relations, fundraising support, and partnership administration.
• In partner, sponsor or donor facing roles.
• In creating written materials for partners, donors, sponsors or other funder audiences
• In coordinating logistics or managing multiple deadlines.
• In using customer Relationship Management (CRM) or other donor or philanthropy software
• In data input and verification of data accuracy.
• In conducting partnership, sponsorship, donor or philanthropic research to support decision making and funding pipelines.
• Experience in museums, cultural institutions, or science centers, an asset.
• Experience supporting philanthropic or partnership solicitation or proposal development, an asset.
• Experience working with vendors and designers for donor materials such as cases for support, an asset.
• Planning and coordinating philanthropic stewardship, cultivation, and recognition events, an asset.
