Temporary Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
Contract until March 31, 2026

About the position

In consultation with the Head of Marketing and External Relations, the position is responsible for managing, implementing, and evaluating marketing and promotional plans and activities, both at the local and national levels. The position supports the Canadian Museum of Nature’s business units with marketing campaigns for their specific programs and initiatives. These efforts include writing and executing campaigns and strategies, paid advertising, supporting partnerships and marketing events, and leading marketing for the museum’s signature Nature Nocturne event, all while keeping in mind revenue generation and growing attendance. Also, the position supports short, medium and long-term planning.

NOTE: The job will require that the successful candidate work some evenings and weekends.

Required experience and qualifications

Eligibility criteria

This position is open to all Employees of the Canadian Museum of Nature and any members of the public who meet the qualifications below.
*Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Education and training:

Completion of a post-secondary education with a specialization in marketing or related field such as public relations or communications or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Language requirements:

English and French are essential.
Bilingual Imperative: CBC/CBC

Experience:

• 2-3 years of Experience in planning, developing, implementing and coordinating the delivery of communications/marketing plans, activities and events.
• 2-3 years of Experience in developing, writing, producing and/or coordinating the production of communications/marketing products within a variety of media channels including digital and social media.
• Experience in coordinating and participating in multi-disciplinary project teams and working with internal and external clients to develop marketing projects and initiatives
• Experience in social media is an asset
• Experience in designing in Canva or the Adobe suite is an asset.
