🎯 Description:

Franklin Gertler Law Office is a public law boutique founded in 1997. We offer bilingual legal services with a focus on Indigenous, constitutional, environmental, energy, natural resources, and administrative law. We’re looking for a passionate lawyer who wants to make a real difference on issues that matter — justice, the environment, and Indigenous rights.

✅ Responsibilities:

Work on complex files involving Indigenous rights and governance, constitutional and administrative litigation, energy regulation, and environmental law.
Represent clients before regulatory bodies and courts at all levels, including the Superior Court, Federal Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada.
Provide strategic legal advice to Indigenous governments, environmental NGOs, citizen coalitions, and municipalities.
Draft legal opinions, submissions, and court materials in both English and French.
Contribute to policy development and legislative initiatives.
Collaborate closely with a dedicated and mission-driven legal team.

💰 Salary: Based on experience and contribution.

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications:

Member of the Barreau du Québec.
Strong interest in Indigenous, constitutional, and environmental law.
Superior oral and written communication skills in both English and French.
Strong legal research and drafting skills.
Willingness to develop and manage a legal practice.
Background in a related field (e.g., history, economics, science, anthropology, environment, philosophy) is a plus.
Collegial spirit and team mindset essential.
Existing client base is an asset.
Potential for partnership.
