📍 Location: Kuujjuaq (Kajusivik Training Centre Residence)

🎯 Description:

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is seeking a dedicated and organized Residence Manager to oversee all operations of the student residence at the Kajusivik Training Centre in Kuujjuaq. This full-time permanent position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the Nunavik communities while working in a unique northern environment.

✅ Responsibilities:

Supervise and evaluate all residence staff
Implement school board policies
Prepare and manage the residence budget
Plan and coordinate services and activities for students and their families
Supervise kitchen operations to ensure 3 meals per day and enforce hygiene and safety rules
Ensure facility safety and maintain material resources
Maintain effective and ongoing communication with the student committee
Be on call 24/7
Coordinate student arrivals and departures
Perform other related duties

💰 Salary: $89,987 to $119,980 annually, based on qualifications and experience

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications:

University degree in social work, recreation or a related field with 3 years of experience
OR a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Fluency in Inuktitut and either English or French
Strong leadership and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects
Proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel
Familiarity with Northern environments and Inuit culture is an asset

The School Board may waive the stated requirements in favor of a qualified beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement, who is willing to follow a training program defined by the Board.
