The Health Advisor – Physical Activity and Sports Component must:
Advise and support communities and the organization while contributing to the development of the skills of workers in their area of expertise. More specifically, you will:
• Act as a resource person in their field by making use of their expertise for the benefit of the First Nations communities and organizations.
• Advise First Nations communities and organizations in their area of expertise.
• Support communities, workers and organizations in planning, organizing and implementing activities and deploying programs, initiatives and projects related to their field.
• Draft projects, identify financial needs, and break down costs.
• Develop effective information and awareness tools to increase the autonomy of communities and see to their production and distribution.
• Collaborate in identifying training needs as well as planning, organizing, creating and adapting materials.
• Offer training, information and awareness sessions.
• Establish and maintain a network of contacts with First Nations organizations and partners as well representatives of the different levels of government.
• Coordinate, facilitate and participate in various meetings.
• Carry out monitoring activities in their field with a view to making recommendations.
• Write reports and documents related to activities, programs, projects and initiatives.

Required experience and qualifications

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, physical education, or sports intervention.
• Three to five years of experience in the field of physical activity.
• Knowledge and understanding of First Nations cultures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• Excellent command of French and English (written and spoken).
• Willing to travel throughout Quebec to First Nations communities.
• A valid driver’s licence.

Salary
The gross annual salary ranges from $63,663.60 to $78,460.20 and varies according to the candidate’s experience.
