Job description

The designer works under the supervision of the Director of Integrated Solutions and collaborates with a team of project managers on assigned projects.

RESPONSABILITIES
– Perform 2D/3D design of mining pumping systems (AG, BOM, etc.);
Participate in coordinating the fabrication of pumping systems in the workshop;
– Work with finite element analysis (FEA) software;
– Collaborate on the development and design of new solutions;
– Provide support to project managers during the installation and delivery of pumping systems;
– Participate in piping system calculations;
– Perform any other related tasks.

Required experience and qualifications

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Hold relevant training in drafting/design.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
– Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor software;
– Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (including Vault Office);
– Proficiency in French, both spoken and written;
– Basic knowledge of English, mainly required for interactions representing approximately 10% of the work time. The person must, however, be able to read and understand plans in English, participate in certain meetings, and communicate with English speaking clients, suppliers, or site supervisors when necessary.
