PLAY A STRATEGIC ROLE IN FOOD SUPPLY TO NORTHERN COMMUNITIES FROM THE HEAD OFFICE IN BAIE-D’URFÉ AND CONTRIBUTE TO A VITAL MISSION WITHIN A GROWING ORGANIZATION

FCNQ is experiencing significant growth and is continuing the modernization of its logistics infrastructure to better meet the needs of the Nunavik cooperatives. The value of goods handled by the department currently stands at $100 million—$60 million, of which is transported by air, based on land cost. As part of this transformation, warehouse capacity will be significantly expanded: one site will soon increase from 27,000 to 46,000 sq. ft. (including a rise in refrigerated space from 3,000 to 9,000 sq. ft.), while another site will grow from 40,000 to 110,000 sq. ft.

These new warehouse facilities, which will soon be operational, will require a reorganization of work, optimization of internal processes, and the implementation of a new business solution (Microsoft Dynamics 365).

Under the leadership of the Director of Distribution and Shipping, the individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day distribution and shipping operations, which will be primarily focused on food products transported by air to Nunavik. This includes overseeing teams responsible for grocery, fresh, and frozen products working at the distribution center.

The person will plan, organize, and optimize all logistics activities related to air transport, ensuring a consistent, reliable, and quality-compliant supply—particularly for fresh products delivered to Nunavik cooperatives. The role will be central to the efficiency of operations, inventory tracking, logistics cost control, continuous process improvement, and change management.
