Overview

Services for individuals and organizations

The FNHRDCQ supports First Nations members in their employability journey: career exploration, training, returning to school, and job search.

We also assist organizations seeking to welcome Indigenous employees and implement respectful, culturally safe, and adapted workplace practices.

Counselling

Personalized support

Counselling helps assess your situation and provide support tailored to your needs. By contacting one of our Employment and Training Service Centres (ETSC), you can arrange a confidential meeting.

Together, you will discuss the support measures most likely to help you succeed: training, returning to school, job search, transition support, and more.

Employability Workshops

Every step of the journey

Employability workshops support job seekers at every stage of their journey: goal-setting, resume updates, interview preparation, or adapting to the workplace.

Group workshops led by ETSC employment counsellors.
Content adapted to the realities of First Nations and community needs.
Practical tools to better prepare for the job market.

Educational and career-related information.
Aptitude tests and interpretation of results.
Identification and evaluation of employment and training measures.
Referral to specialized counsellors if needed.
Job search techniques and practical tools.
Assistance with writing resumes and cover letters.
Preparation for job interviews.
Management of documentation related to funding applications.
Support throughout your training or career project.
Follow-up on measures proposed by employment counsellors.
Help resolving issues that may slow down your progress.
Visits to schools and/or workplaces to support your integration.
Building a support network (school, family, social, personal).
