Job description

*35 hours per week (50% at the office and 50% teleworking)
**14-month contract

The Technology Infrastructure Technician must:
• Ensure maximum and optimal availability of the organization’s infrastructures and applications.
• Diagnose and resolve network-related problems.
• Maintain and operationalize networks, backup solutions, the Microsoft 365 environment as well as the virtual, physical and cloud environment.
• Install, maintain and update operating systems and applications on the organization’s infrastructure.
• Monitor the various systems to ensure their proper functioning.
• Prevent computer incidents, collaborate in resolving them, carry out the required follow-ups (diagnosis, treatment and documentation) and escalate them if necessary.
• Provide support to internal users for complex requests and to external clients for all types of requests.
• Manage the access rights of internal and external users in accordance with established policies.
• Apply the compliance rules and parameters to the management of network and client security.
• Collaborate in:
• The deployment, configuration and evolution of the technological infrastructures of the organization.
• Project planning and deployment, follow-ups and employee training.
• The development and review of policies, procedures, processes and mapping related to IT security.
• The uploading and smooth running of the organization’s websites.
• Ensure monitoring activities regarding networks and systems in order to suggest areas for improvement.
• Support users in their daily use of IT tools.
• Ensure the smooth running and maintenance of IT equipment.

Required experience and qualifications

• Collegial diploma in computer science.
• Two to three years of experience managing IT infrastructures.
• Knowledge of operating environments, networks, virtualization, infrastructures (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, Nutanix, NAS, SAN, UPS).
• Good knowledge of monitoring and deployment tools, networking and security.
• Knowledge and understanding of First Nations cultures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• Proficiency in French and English (oral and written).
• A valid driver’s licence.

Salary
The gross annual salary ranges from between $61,042.80 to $75,220.60 and varies according to the candidate’s experience.
