Job description

Main Duties:
• Operate trucks to transport seafood products during the fishing season from landing sites to processing plants, warehouses, customers, and other destinations.
• Assist with unloading catches from fishing vessels, loading products onto trucks, and unloading products upon arrival at their destination.
• Secure and tarp loads, ensure cargo safety and security, and inspect trucks before, during, and after trips.
• Monitor all aspects of vehicle operation, including inspections of tires, lights, brakes, refrigeration equipment, and other vehicle systems.
• Perform emergency repairs when required.
• Complete daily log sheets.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Required experience and qualifications

Requirements:
• Hold a valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and statutory holidays when required.
