Rental Agent – Tenant experience manager for the Chibougamau living environment Maammuu Pimutetaau
Under the supervision of the Living Environment Operations Coordinator at SIRCAAQ, the Rental Agent – Tenant Experience Manager is responsible for the management of a student housing complex in Chibougamau, consisting of 16 large apartments (42 rooms) and shared community spaces located near educational institutions and local services.
The position involves managing leases, tenant move-ins and move-outs, administrative files, and coordinating maintenance and operational needs. The Agent ensures a positive tenant experience by maintaining a welcoming and safe environment that supports student success and community well-being.
The Agent works closely with the Living Environment Coordinator, the janitor/building guardian, and the RCAAQ mobilization team. Key responsibilities include:
Responding to tenant inquiries and supporting housing applicants;
Participating in tenant selection and preparing files for housing authorities;
Ensuring leases and required documents are completed and updated;
Managing tenant requests, complaints, arrivals, and departures;
Performing administrative tasks and updating management systems;
Collaborating with community partners and educational institutions;
Supporting community life through activities and tenant engagement;
Promoting compliance with rules, regulations, and the code of conduct;
Assisting with inspections, safety, and overall living environment quality.
The role also includes maintaining a visible presence in the community and contributing to tenant health, safety, and satisfaction.
Required experience and qualifications
Education and experience
Technical or professional training in a relevant field, combined with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience;
Computer skills in office software (SharePoint, Office 365) and property management software (Cogiweb);
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in French and English;
Knowledge of an Indigenous language is an asset;
Experience and knowledge of Indigenous communities and culture.
