🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is seeking a Regional Student Advisor to support school teams and contribute to the well-being of students. This role is key in providing pedagogical guidance, assisting with reintegration of dropouts, and strengthening Inuit identity among students.
✅ Responsibilities:
Support student advisors in resolving classroom issues.
Assist with reintegration of students who have dropped out.
Conduct individual meetings with advisors to help manage workload.
Develop tools to facilitate communication between students, teachers, parents, and the community.
Visit classrooms as needed and provide advice to school staff and education committees, respecting confidentiality.
Create resources that reinforce students’ self-image as Inuit.
Liaise with local employers and social service representatives.
Work independently while meeting deadlines.
💰 Salary: CAD 49,456 – 92,027 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications:
Proficiency in spoken and written Inuktitut.
Ability to communicate effectively with youth and adults.
Maturity and ability to work independently.
Willingness to participate in periodic training programs (2–3 times per year).
Assets: knowledge of a second language, experience working with children and youth aged 5–18.
