🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is seeking a dedicated and qualified teacher for the Plumbing and Heating vocational program in the northern community of Inukjuak. The program prepares students to work as pipefitters, with a focus on plumbing and hydronic, steam, oil, radiant, and gas heating systems—including new technologies such as geothermal and solar energy.
✅ Responsibilities:
Teach the curriculum of the 5833 Plumbing and Heating vocational program
Instruct students on pipe installation, system repairs, and maintenance techniques
Adapt lessons to suit adult learners and multi-level classrooms
Foster student success in a culturally diverse environment
💰 Salary: From $46,527 to $92,027 per year (prorated to 400 hours), based on experience and qualifications

Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications:
Proficiency in two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English, French
Experience teaching adult learners
Experience with multi-level classrooms
Assets:
Familiarity with MEES programs
Experience teaching English and French as second languages
Knowledge of the Moodle learning platform
