POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Food and Beverage Director, the Maître d’Hôtel / Restaurant Manager oversees the daily operations of the restaurant. The role focuses on guest experience, service quality, team coordination, and smooth execution of service. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and respectful environment for both guests and team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan staffing needs for service and special events
Supervise front-of-house operations and support the service team
Welcome guests and ensure a respectful, high-quality guest experience
Maintain service standards and ensure operational consistency
Support the resolution of guest concerns or complaints
Assist service staff during peak periods when required
Prepare seating plans and assign sections
Coordinate task distribution and tip allocation
Support end-of-shift controls (reports, inventories, beverage tracking)
Oversee schedules and working hours
Contribute to labour cost monitoring
Participate in restaurant promotions and initiatives

Required experience and qualifications

REQUIRED PROFILE
Hospitality or hotel management diploma, or equivalent experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in restaurant or hospitality service
Functional English (client-facing environment)
Wine training or certification (asset)
Strong knowledge of beverages (cocktails, wines, spirits)
Experience with restaurant management systems (Véloce, Libro) is an asset
