🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, the school board serving the 14 communities of Nunavik, is seeking a Hotel Reception Teacher to deliver the vocational education program (5783). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to adult education in a culturally rich and dynamic environment.
✅ Responsibilities:
Teach the Hotel Reception curriculum, including:
Customer service, both in-person and by phone
Reservation systems
Hotel accounting and night auditing
Safety and security protocols
Communication in a second language
Use of specialized hotel management software
Operations in both digital and non-digital hotel environments
Manage a classroom with adult learners, potentially at multiple skill levels.
Foster a professional and inclusive learning environment.
💰 Salary:
Annual salary between $46,527 and $92,027, depending on experience and qualifications, according to the teacher collective agreement. Benefits are pro-rated based on task percentage.

Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications:
Proficiency in two of the three working languages of the School Board: Inuktitut, English, and French
Experience teaching adult learners
Experience managing multi-level classrooms
Assets:
Familiarity with MEES vocational programs
Experience teaching English and French as second languages
Knowledge of the Moodle platform
🕒 Employment Status:
Contractual – 400 hours
