📌 Title: Part-time Instructor – French as a Second Language (Beginner Level 1)

🎯 Description:

Cégep Heritage College, the only public English-language college in the Outaouais region with free tuition, is seeking a lesson-paid instructor to teach a non-credit beginner French course (Level 1) in person at the Gatineau campus as part of its Continuing Education program during Fall 2025.

✅ Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver a 30-hour beginner French course focused on basic grammar and vocabulary for everyday interactions.
Create and provide engaging, themed lessons with an emphasis on listening and speaking skills.
Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet course objectives.
Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment for adult learners.
Collaborate with the Continuing Education Business Services team as needed.

💰 Salary: $50.00/hour

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications:

A relevant combination of education or certifications and professional experience in a related field.
A bachelor’s degree is not required but considered an asset.
Prior experience teaching adults is a strong asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to learners’ needs and support them effectively.
Comfortable applying theoretical knowledge to real-world workplace language needs.
Flexibility and commitment to collaborative work.
