🎯 Description:

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is seeking a Program Developer in Inuktitut (Educational Consultant) to contribute to the development and implementation of the Nunavik Sivunitsavut program. This full-time temporary position is based in Montréal and offers a meaningful opportunity to support Inuit education and culture through curriculum development and educational materials in Inuktitut.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, evaluation, and adjustment of the existing Nunavik Sivunitsavut Inuktitut curriculum

  • Design and develop teaching materials for Inuktitut courses

  • Review and compile existing resources (documents, dictionaries, films, etc.) and make them available to students

  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor

💰 Salary: $49,456 to $92,027 annually (based on qualifications and experience)

📅 Duration: Full-time temporary position from August 2025 to June 2026
📍 Location: Montréal (hybrid work model possible)

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (education, etc.) or graduate of the Kativik Ilisarniliriniq teacher training program
    (The school board may waive the stated qualifications if the applicant is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and agrees to follow a specific training program)

🎯 Requirements:

  • Fluency in spoken and written Inuktitut

  • Experience in secondary-level curriculum and program development

➕ Assets:

  • Theoretical training in curriculum development

  • Teaching experience in Nunavik
