Health and Safety (OHS) Advisor – Trainer

🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor – Trainer. Reporting to the OHS Coordinator, the selected candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and delivering training programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace for all employees.

✅ Responsibilities:

• Assess training needs and recommend appropriate OHS programs.

• Develop, update, and deliver OHS training for staff.

• Prepare and monitor the annual training calendar.

• Implement and follow up on corrective measures, OHS programs, and procedures.

• Conduct workplace inspections, document non-compliance issues, and prepare reports.

• Promote a strong safety culture and act as an OHS ambassador for the organization.

• Actively participate in OHS committees.

💰 Salary: From $88,755 to $118,336 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (minimum of 3 years of university studies).

• Diploma in OHS or related field.

• At least 2 years of OHS experience.

• Proven experience as a trainer.

• Bilingual: French and English (Inuktitut is an asset).

• Availability to travel frequently to Nunavik (minimum 12 times/year).
