Job description

Location: Wendake, Quebec (50% in-office, 50% telework)

Responsibilities:

  • Promote equitable access to health services for First Nations people in Quebec.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of health policies and legislation to identify issues and propose strategic solutions.
  • Provide advisory support to senior management to inform local and regional First Nations authorities.
  • Act as a resource person for First Nations communities and organizations.
  • Monitor policies, legislation, and programs to make relevant recommendations.
  • Actively represent and defend the interests of First Nations in matters of health service access.
  • Organize and participate in various meetings.
  • Establish and maintain networks with First Nations organizations and partners.

Required experience and qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, political science, social sciences, or law.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the provincial health network.
  • Understanding and knowledge of First Nations cultures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written).
  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary:
The gross annual salary ranges from $62,407.80 to $76,913.20, depending on the candidate’s experience.

Start Date: As soon as possible.
