Native Commercial Credit Corporation provides financing products and services to Aboriginal customers throughout Québec. Our offerings include non-refundable contributions, start-up loans, business expansion financing, and support services for commercial and community projects. Since its inception in 1992, SOCCA has facilitated many projects, promoting the well-being and autonomy of its Indigenous clients.

Job Description:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Services Agent will work with SOCCA and its affiliates, including ABSCAN, to support a range of programs collectively known as “the Society.” The role involves managing client files and supporting the development of management information systems. This includes assisting with loan applications, contributing to file re-evaluations, and handling various aspects of accounting and bond portfolio administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the document management system by scanning, printing, and archiving documents as needed
  • Prepare legal documents related to reimbursable and non-refundable financing
  • Create and code computerized customer files
  • Ensure required documentation is collected and follow up on pending items
  • Assist in the publication of guarantees
  • Monitor files to ensure compliance with authorization conditions
  • Close accounts following loan repayments and issue required documentation
  • Draft and edit various documents
  • Support administrative tasks related to ABSCAN bond issuance
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Required experience and qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team player with the ability to follow directives from different individuals

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in secretarial work, a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in office automation, or an Attestation of College Studies (ACS) in legal techniques, or equivalent training
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal secretarial work (law office, litigation, ministry, financial institution)
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly SharePoint, and Adobe software
