Operation director
Job description
Under the authority of the Executive Director, the Operations Director is responsible for the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the New Pathways Camps, BECOME, Niska, and the Laboratory programs. In collaboration with field teams and partners, it ensures that the Foundation’s initiatives achieve their objectives and generate meaningful impact for First Nations youth.
Required experience and qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required (project management, youth intervention, organizational management, or any other related discipline). Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or team management. Experience in project management, particularly in the community or First Nations sector (an asset). Knowledge of First Nations realities and issues related to Indigenous youth
SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent command of oral and written French, knowledge of English is an asset. Experience in financial and budget management. Skills in human resources management and team leadership. Ability to use digital tools and project
management software. Inspiring leadership and a strong sense of initiative. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize. High level of autonomy, rigor, and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. Good adaptability in a constantly evolving environment. Ability to work under pressure and manage unexpected situations effectively. Excellent communication skills and experience in partnership management
