Cybersecurity Advisor
Job description
*12-month contract
**35 hours per week (50% at the office and 50% teleworking)
The Cybersecurity Advisor must:
Ensure the protection of the organization’s IT infrastructure and data against cyber threats by acting as a cybersecurity resource person for the organization’s employees and First Nations communities and organizations. More specifically, you must:
• Continuously monitor IT systems and analyze these systems to detect vulnerabilities.
• Diagnose and resolve security issues.
• Ensure compliance and security of IT access to services and data for all stakeholders (internal and external).
• Actively respond to security incidents, including intrusions, and manage the recovery of compromised data.
• Conduct security audits and monitor compliance with security procedures.
• Manage IT security by ensuring that it reaches a maximum level and complies with the recommendations from the latest security tests as well as best practices.
• Promote good cybersecurity practices and provide IT security training and cyber threat awareness sessions.
• Develop security policies, procedures and protocols, keep them up to date and ensure compliance with them.
• Produce various cybersecurity reports (incident reports, vulnerability analyses, security audits, etc.).
• Carry out constant technological monitoring to stay at the forefront of security and information systems trends, then make recommendations.
• Work in collaboration with the other sectors of the organization to ensure integrated information protection.
Required experience and qualifications
• University degree in computer science, information security or any other relevant field.
• Three to five years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Knowledge and understanding of First Nations cultures.
• Proficiency in various IT security tools (FortiClient EMS, Microsoft Intune, FortiAnalyzer, Sophos, CrowdStrike, FortiAuthenticator, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 and its security applications.
• Excellent command of French and English (written and spoken).
• Available to travel throughout Quebec to First Nations communities.
• A valid driver’s licence.

Salary
The gross annual salary ranges from $61,042.80 to $75,220.60 and varies according to the candidate’s experience.
