🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is seeking a Coordinator for the Nunavik Sivunitsavut program. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and evaluating the program while managing human, financial, and material resources. The Coordinator will contribute to program development and serve as a liaison with institutional partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and evaluate the implementation of Nunavik Sivunitsavut programs.

  • Develop the French program in accordance with the objectives set by Kativik Ilisarniliriniq and the Nunavik Sivunitsavut Advisory Committee.

  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring of professional and support staff.

  • Coordinate activities related to grade submission to John Abbott College and other partners.

  • Maintain liaison with partner organizations, including John Abbott College, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEES), Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), Nunavut Sivunitsavut, and other relevant organizations.

  • Supervise and evaluate staff under their responsibility.

💰 Salary: $101,612 to $135,480 per year, depending on qualifications and experience
Schedule: Full-time
📅 Duration: October 2025 to October 2026

Required experience and qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (minimum 3 years of university studies) or a senior management position; Master’s degree is an asset.

  • 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in two of the three official languages of the commission (Inuktitut, French, English) both orally and in writing.

  • Strong knowledge of post-secondary and Indigenous education.

  • Excellent communication skills, leadership, and team motivation abilities.

  • Experience working with external institutions and government agencies.

  • Ability to travel to Nunavik occasionally.
