🎯 Description:
The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is seeking a Coordinator, Animation Production Unit for a 12-month full-time temporary position. You will provide essential administrative and logistical support to producers, filmmakers, and creators, while actively contributing to the coordination of projects from pre-production through to post-production.
✅ Responsibilities:
Serve as a key point of contact between the production unit and external creators.
Coordinate logistics for meetings, screenings, workshops, and studio visits.
Support the production of newsletters and management of the unit’s Instagram account.
Track production schedules and manage equipment inventory and loans.
Organize onboarding and logistical support for filmmakers (spaces, materials, access, etc.).
Assist with post-production coordination (subtitles, transcripts, captions, video description, etc.).
Contribute to archiving of digital and physical project elements.
Manage expense accounts, reimbursements, and travel arrangements.
Assist in preparing quarterly and institutional reports.
💰 Salary: $55,532 to $67,536 (salary scale under review)

Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications:
College diploma in administration or media production.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Knowledge of documentary and animation production processes.
Familiarity with union framework agreements.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Smartsheet.
Basic accounting knowledge and experience with financial systems (project accounting, purchase orders).
Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written.
