Budgetary Support Advisor
Job description
The Budgetary Support Advisor must:
· Provide advice on sound financial management to organizations offering early childhood services and support managers in carrying out their roles and responsibilities.
· Analyze the financial and budgetary issues of organizations offering early childhood services and support them in resolving problematic situations.
· Act as a resource person for the early childhood team for all matters relating to the management of financial resources of First Nations organizations offering early childhood services or other provincial and federal programs.
· Strengthen management capacity regarding finances and budgets of managers of educational childcare services under agreement with the FNQLHSSC.
· Develop communication tools to increase understanding among educational childcare service managers of their budgetary and financial obligations.
· Identify administrative and financial management needs of organizations offering early childhood services, propose solutions or, if necessary, refer to external resources.
· Develop and offer training activities to improve budgetary and financial practices.
· Support organizations offering early childhood services in their funding applications and understanding financial rules and obligations.
· Support educational childcare workers in the use of various electronic platforms such as SAGE, clicSÉQUR, ACCEO, etc.
· Support organizations offering early childhood services in carrying out their planning and accountability and, when required, in the application of financial recovery plans.
· Contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the sector and promote the maintenance of a work climate based on mutual aid, respect, and collaboration (respect for procedures, values, information management, etc.).
· Support the organization’s mission by making use of their expertise in carrying out projects (one-off or special), events and activities with the FNQLHSSC as well as with partners and external committees.
Required experience and qualifications
Prerequisites and hiring conditions
· Bachelor’s degree in administration or accounting science.
· Two or three years of relevant experience.
· Experience in the field of early childhood services and knowledge of the operation of the childcare services network are assets.
· Strong ability to popularize the principles of accounting and administration to non-financial people.
· Knowledge and understanding of First Nations cultures.
· Knowledge of Microsoft 365, clicSÉQUR and ACCEO software.
· Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written).
· Availability to travel and work flexible hours when required.
· A valid driver’s license.

Salary
The gross annual salary ranges from $54,454.40 to $67,067.00 and varies according to the candidate’s experience.
