Training Coordinator

Description:
The Training Coordinator will develop and implement various initiatives related to the development, organization, implementation, and management of training programs in the housing sector. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with the housing team, which includes the CoPH coordinator, the AEC student support worker in housing management, and the PoCH project manager.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the training program for First Nations students in the field of housing, including writing internship guides and useful educational tools.
- Organize information sessions with communities, promote the program, and participate in the recruitment of interns.
- Supervise students to assess the relevance of the training and work with teaching staff to evaluate interns’ performance, providing solutions to any issues that arise between employers and interns as necessary.
- Build partnerships with various stakeholders and maintain relationships with different committees.
- Participate in weekly housing meetings, take notes, and engage in research and development.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required experience and qualifications
Qualifications:
- Diploma in a relevant field of study.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Interest in housing within Indigenous communities.
- Proficient in both French and English, written and spoken.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Access to a computer, cell phone, and internet connection.
Assets:
- Knowledge of an Indigenous language.
- Understanding of the culture and structures of Indigenous communities.
- Familiarity with the adult education sector.
