Job description

*35 hours per week (50% at the office and 50% teleworking)
**12-month contract

The Technical Research Assistant must:
Support the population surveys team in the deployment of all stages of the survey cycle. More specifically:

• Support the population surveys team in the deployment of all stages of the survey cycle.
• Participate in the planning and deployment of population surveys, including the compilation, processing, analysis and dissemination of data acquired as part of these surveys.
• Establish contacts and follow-up with the clientele and other stakeholders involved in the population surveys.
• Participate in the organization and proceedings of meetings dedicated to monitoring surveys and presenting research results as well as in regional advisory committees.
• Participate in the development of documents and tools for training and data collection for population surveys, as well as in the preparation of materials.
• Support data collection activities and ensure necessary monitoring and quality control with interviewers.
• Participate in the recruitment and training of local and mobile interviewers and community liaison officers and ensure the processing of their remuneration.
• Collaborate in the regional surveillance plan of health status, in particular by participating in the development of indicators and updating the PRISM information platform.

Required experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (health sciences, anthropology, communications, or sociology).
• One to two year(s) of experience in customer service, facilitation and coordination of training.
• Knowledge of research ethics involving Indigenous people.
• Knowledge and understanding of First Nations cultures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and the software required for population surveys.
• Excellent command of French and English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel across Quebec to First Nations communities.
• A valid driver’s license.

Salary
The gross annual salary is between $52,033.80 and $64,136.80 and varies according to the candidate’s experience.
