Job description

Are you an Indigenous student looking for a stimulating and exciting internship for summer 2025? The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) invites you to join us!

To build and maintain a more inclusive and innovative space sector, we need the creativity and ingenuity that stem from having a wider diversity of talents and perspectives. The CSA is taking action towards reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples by taking meaningful steps to increase Indigenous voices at the CSA and within the Canadian space sector. As part of this effort, the CSA is launching this targeted recruitment campaign for the summer 2025 session.

We have a variety of student positions available, requiring a wide range of skills and educational streams. Some of the student positions may include, but are not limited to, work in the areas below:

Communications
Administrative support
Engineering
Science
Finance
Commerce
Project management
Data analysis
Computing or information technology
Programming
Human Resources

Work environment:

You will have access to a peer group to guide you through your integration and daily life at CSA!
Additionally, you will have access to the Federal Government’s Indigenous Student Employment Opportunity (ISEO) program, which features support for onboarding, a mentorship program, workshops, and support services culturally designed for both students and managers/supervisors.
Those students working on-site from our CSA Longueuil headquarters would also benefit from free parking, free access to a gym, access to the Larkin-Kerwin Library and to beautiful outdoor spaces, including a lovely terrace, a microforest and a CSA community garden.

** Please also note that some student positions may require full-time or part-time on-site work, depending on the nature of the work involved. However, to respect Indigenous students for whom working from their community is essential to their identity, the CSA may authorize exemptions to allow them to complete the internship remotely. We encourage all students to apply.
