🎯 Your Mission
As a Policy Analyst & Advisor, you will play a key role in analyzing government policies and providing strategic recommendations to leadership. You will be an essential contributor to the advocacy and protection of First Nations’ interests and help shape impactful strategies.
🔍 Your Main Responsibilities
📑 Legislative & Policy Analysis
✔ Review and interpret government policies, laws, and regulations to identify their effects.
✔ Prepare policy analyses, recommendations, and strategic documents.
✔ Collaborate with advocacy organizations and government institutions.
✔ Support initiatives aimed at improving First Nations’ access to public services.
💡 Advisory & Strategic Support
✔ Advise leadership and managers on policies, laws, and regulations.
✔ Develop strategic positioning approaches aligned with First Nations’ issues.
✔ Monitor trends, best practices, and policy developments.
✔ Contribute to the drafting of reports, briefing notes, and policy papers.
✔ Represent the organization at meetings and events.
Required experience and qualifications
📚 Your Profile
🎓 Education & Experience
✅ Bachelor’s degree in political science, law, public administration, or a related field.
✅ 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
✅ In-depth knowledge of Canadian, Quebec, and First Nations political and legal systems.
✅ Familiarity with government networks and health and social services systems (an asset).
🛠️ Skills & Qualities
🔹 Strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills.
🔹 Attention to detail and professional rigor.
🔹 Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
🔹 Leadership, proactivity, and problem-solving mindset.
🔹 Excellent communication skills (French and English, written and spoken).
🔹 Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
🔹 Availability for travel across Quebec (valid driver’s license required).
💰 Salary & Benefits
💵 Salary: $67,631.20 – $83,337.80 (depending on experience)
📅 Start date: As soon as possible
🏡 Hybrid work model: 50% office – 50% remote
