Job description
The Monitoring Officer is part of the Kanesatake Employment and Training Service Center’s (KETSC) team. The incumbent works with local stakeholders to follow up with participants in the Center’s employability and training measures. They act as a contact person for participants, promoters, training center staff and employers. They prepare and verify required documents and pass information to participants and stakeholders. During their mandate, they work closely with the KETSC Manager to assess clients’ progress.
Required experience and qualifications
- Would you like to help Kanesatake’s Indigenous clients find sustainable employment?
- Are you familiar with Quebec’s First Nations realities?
- Do you have excellent counselling and helping relationship skills?
- Do you have a deep understanding of the labour market, employment development institutions and networks, the educational and community environment, and the programs and services offered?
- Are you fluent in English and in French?
- Do you have a degree, a diploma and/or experience in a counselling-related field?
