Circuit Rider Trainer in Building Maintenance

FNQLSDI activities are mainly in French
Your mandate
* Travel to First Nations communities to provide local maintenance staff with the skills and knowledge needed to ensure the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building mechanical systems.
Main responsibilities
* Develop, implement and monitor Maintenance Management Programs (MMPs) in community buildings within First Nation communities,
* Contribute to skills development by working alongside employees to carry out various preventive – and occasionally corrective – maintenance tasks on HVAC systems,
* Support First Nation communities in understanding and using integrated management systems,
* Share knowledge and expertise, and provide guidance to local managers in the use of maintenance management software,
* Provide both on-site and remote support to address the needs, requests, and emergencies of local officials and communities,
* Prepare the required operational reports.
Required experience and qualifications
Do you have what it takes?
* College Diploma (DEC) in Building Mechanicals or equivalent,
* A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in building maintenance management,
* Availability to travel 15 to 20 weeks per year to First Nation communities across Quebec (maximum of 5 days on-site per trip),
* Strong oral and written communication skills both in French and English,
* Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license,
* Training in general building maintenance (asset),
* Knowledge of the issues, priorities, perspectives, and aspirations of First Nations (asset).
