ABOUT THE TEAM
Our People Strategy and Equity, Inclusion and Diversity (Ei&D) team focuses on change management as well as inclusion and diversity initiatives throughout the organization. Our Ei&D team collaborates with various teams and affinity groups to ensure the successful execution of Ei&D initiatives and contributes to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion throughout the organization.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As an Intern, Equity, Inclusion and Diversity, you’ll:
-Provide support in setting the foundational work required for our Reconciliation Action Plan
-Contribute to developing an educational offering to support our commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and call to action 92
-Provide support in documenting programs, processes, policies and/or with reporting
-Research possible partners/collaborators to help achieve our Ei&D objectives
-Support the Ei&D team on the planning, communications and the logistics of various events and projects
-Support the team with various administrative tasks

Required experience and qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
-Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Indigenous Studies, Human Resources or related field
-Ability to work as part of a team, in a spirit of collaboration, and maintain excellent interpersonal relations
-Good analytical and technological skills (Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint is a must)
-A passion for equity, inclusion and diversity and personal motivation to contribute to change
-An understanding of traditional knowledge systems and Indigenous worldviews
-Familiarity with the Truth & Reconciliation Commission of Canada, UNDRIP, and other frameworks for Reconciliation
-Experience collaborating with Indigenous communities/community members, an asset
-Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) *Frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa.
-Knowledge of an Indigenous language, an asset
-Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
-Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position. No support to obtain the right to work will be provided.
*Options include Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid open work permit.
