🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, the school board serving the 14 communities of Nunavik, is seeking a Development Officer for its Adult Education and Vocational Training department. This key role focuses on developing and managing training programs aligned with regional employment needs across the territory.
✅ Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate training programs that meet regional labor market needs.
Organize logistics and develop budgets for training sessions.
Collaborate closely with the Kativik Regional Government (KRG) on workforce development programs.
Participate in pedagogical meetings and employability sessions with community and administrative stakeholders.
Write reports and ensure proper project tracking.
Travel frequently to Nunavik.
Perform other related duties as required by the supervisor.
💰 Salary: $49,456 to $87,626 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Fluency in at least two of the school board’s official working languages: Inuktitut, French, and English.
Strong communication, writing, and leadership skills.
Teamwork abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of community employment needs and key regional stakeholders.
Familiarity with the adult education, vocational training, and business services sectors.
A candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) may be exempt from the stated qualifications, provided they agree to complete a training plan defined by the School Board.
