Development Officer – Adult Education and Vocational Training

Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, the school board serving the 14 communities of Nunavik, is seeking a dynamic Development Officer to support the implementation of training programs tailored to the needs of the northern job market. This is a stimulating full-time, permanent position based in Montreal, with frequent travel to Nunavik.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate training programs in collaboration with the Adult Education and Vocational Training department.
Manage workforce development programs, particularly those sponsored by the Kativik Regional Government (KRG).
Organize logistics and develop budgets for training sessions.
Participate in pedagogical meetings and employability sessions with community and administrative partners.
Travel frequently to Nunavik.
Perform any other related duties required by the supervisor.
Required experience and qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Proficiency in at least two of the school board’s three working languages (Inuktitut, French, English).
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Skilled in report writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with community employment needs and regional stakeholders.
Knowledge of adult education, vocational training, and corporate training services.
Note: Priority may be given to beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA), provided they are willing to follow a training program as determined by the school board.
Salary:
Between $49,456 and $87,626 annually, based on experience and qualifications, according to the SPPENOM collective agreement.
