Job description

• Act as a resource person for the management of educational childcare services as part of the delegation of power agreement between the Ministère de la Famille and the FNQLHSSC.
• Support childcare centre managers in carrying out their roles and responsibilities related to administrative and financial management according to their needs.
• Analyze and respond to needs when situations require improvement or present a problem and make recommendations adapted to the context of First Nations.
• Develop support plans following interventions with educational childcare services, support their implementation and align them with external partners, if necessary.
• Draft support and follow-up reports following interventions.
• Ensure recordkeeping for educational childcare services in line with standards and obligations to ensure compliance.
• Participate in permit management (renewal, issuance, modification, etc.).
• Participate in the development of management tools to support educational childcare services managers.
• Promote training programs intended for educational childcare services stakeholders.
• Support educational childcare services in the use of various electronic platforms (SAGE, clicSÉQUR, ACCEO, etc.).
• Carry out inspections in community early childhood centers to ensure compliance with the FNQLHSSC agreement.
• Ensure administrative compliance when renewing a license and identify any action required to grant or maintain it.

Required experience and qualifications

• Diploma of college studies in early childhood education, special education, or childcare services management or administration.
• Three to five years of experience in early childhood intervention or management or operation of a childcare service or a childcare centre.
• Knowledge of how the educational childcare services network operates.
• Knowledge and understanding of First Nations cultures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, ACCEO, clicSÉQUR and TeamViewer.
• Excellent command of French and English (written and oral).
• Availability to work outside of normal office hours and travel as needed.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Hybrid work environment: five compulsory days at the office over a ten-day cycle

Salary
The gross annual salary ranges from $56,365.40 to $69,414.80 and varies according to the candidate’s experience.
