The position at a glance
CIB Transversal IT – NAR Shared Service Center (SSC) is responsible for the design, build & enhancement of Data Solutions for NAR CIB Enterprise Data Management & Solutions (EDMS) as a main sponsor, and offers a range of Transversal solutions in the Business Intelligence, collaborative platform, and reconciliation scopes. The team covers Business Relationship, Project Management, Business Analysis, Technical Lead and Development. We focus on enabling CIB Data Strategy locally through IT solutions designed for all functions, from core platforms creating value out of our data assets through best practices established with EDMS, to addressing bespoke needs with our portfolio of applications. We also collaborate with other groups, to elicit solutions via internal teams, Labs, and third-party vendors. Our practice covers all data management aspects including data governance, movement, security, and resilience. We foster an agile and collaborative approach with business and partner to deliver early value and quality end products.
In detail
The position will have responsibilities for managing business relationships, project management and business analysis, with an emphasis on project management and business analysis based on the project portfolio and the priorities within the team.
Business Relationship Management:
Participate and influence sponsors’ IT strategy (understand industry trends, be a go to partner from conceptual model to execution of initiatives)
Be identified as a force of proposal within IT team on scope of topics covered. Help shape portfolio of IT initiatives
Strong interest in sponsors’ challenges, eagerness to collectively solve with innovative and efficient solutions
Participate in or organize workshops, vendor calls and assessments to help define the IT roadmap
Actively maintain quality of collaboration between Sponsors and Transversal IT
Be a source of support and coaching within the IT Team on areas of expertise
Manage portfolio of upcoming initiatives in the scope: relay to IT leadership team, clearly set priority, define arbitration
Support NAR SSC Manager in governance and audit topics, act as delegate when needed
IT Business Analysis:
Understand and analyze the needs of the Business related to one or more functional domains, with the aim of enhancing the IS with appropriate and sustainable solutions in line with the entity’s strategic plan and the related request portfolio
Ensure that the solution is compatible with the requirements derived from the Business’s needs
Contact person within the project or maintenance teams and for the Business for Data and functional aspects
Be the liaison between the end-users and the IT development team
Understand and translate the business requirements into technical specifications
Help with data architecture, data warehousing and data mart modeling.
Be aware of the SDLC guidelines and make sure to adhere to it
Required experience and qualifications

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science or Information Technology.
3+ years’ experience in IT Business Analysis in a financial institution, having covered several business lines and functions a strong asset
Knowledge of process analysis, design, and testing methods
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases (Oracle preferred), query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity of query performance optimization.
Experience in ETL development, Unix, Database and Autosys components is a plus
Knowledge of data types, errors, data comparison, and data cleaning.
Must have strong technical and problem-solving skill set (Banking industry experience is a plus)
Experience in performing general troubleshooting
Agile practice a strong asset
Knowledge of Power BI and Business Objects SAP and their technical components
