🎯 Description

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, the school board serving the 14 communities of Nunavik, is seeking a full-time Student Life Animator to provide supervision, support, and programming for students residing at the Kajusivik student residence in Kuujjuaq. This seasonal position runs from August 2025 to June 2026, with the possibility of extension.

✅ Responsibilities

• Assist students with homework in the evenings

• Organize and participate in student activities

• Ensure student safety and well-being

• Collaborate with the residence manager and staff

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

💰 Salary

Annual salary ranging from $47,886 to $79,426, depending on experience and qualifications. Governed by the SPPENOM collective agreement (Job Category 2107).

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in guidance counseling, animation, recreational studies, or social work

• Relevant experience in group animation

• Fluency in at least two of the school board’s working languages (Inuktitut, French, English)

• Knowledge of Inuit culture, traditions, and history is an asset

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Strong interpersonal skills and organizational ability

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve
