Job description
🎯 Description:
JCCBI is seeking a Specialized Worker for its Operations and Maintenance Department to help maintain and repair Québec’s bridges and road infrastructure. This permanent and unionized position plays a key role in ensuring the safety and smooth flow of traffic across iconic structures.
✅ Responsibilities:
Perform road-related tasks such as spreading, raking, and compacting asphalt.
Conduct painting, concrete, carpentry, and plumbing work.
Assemble and repair steel parts and various structures.
Repair guardrails, impact attenuators, gutters, and bridge components.
Perform drainage work: excavate ditches, install, and backfill conduits.
Install signage, clean catch basins, lamp post bases, and pavements.
Close lanes and manage traffic on the network.
Drive a service van and complete related reports as required.
Remove snow and ice from access roads, structures, and equipment.
Maintain inventory, collect materials from suppliers, and update records.
Carry out other duties related to infrastructure maintenance.
💰 Salary: $31.86/hour (2025 rate)
Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications:
Secondary V diploma.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 an asset).
Mandatory ASP construction training.
Strong written and spoken French.
Manual dexterity, versatility, and relevant maintenance experience.
Assets: WHMIS training, STC-101.
