Hourly wage: $26.65/hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Head Chef, the Sous-Chef supports the daily kitchen operations. The role involves assisting with menu planning, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring consistent food quality and presentation standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and support kitchen staff on a daily basis
Participate in menu planning and development
Oversee food preparation, mise en place, and service
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of dishes
Manage inventory and food ordering needs
Enforce MAPAQ hygiene and food safety standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
Act as Head Chef in their absence
Contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen

Required experience and qualifications
REQUIRED PROFILE
Experience in professional kitchen operations (DEP in culinary arts is an asset)
Approximately 2 years of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Positive and respectful leadership style
Strong organization skills, reliability, and autonomy
