🎯 Job Description
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI), the school board serving the 14 communities of Nunavik, is seeking a dedicated Socio-Professional Integration (SPI) Teacher to support adult learners in their transition toward vocational training or entering the job market. Join us for a meaningful and culturally rich teaching experience in Northern Quebec.
✅ Responsibilities
Teach professional skills and job-readiness techniques to adults with diverse learning needs and mild intellectual and/or learning disabilities.
Guide students in developing personalized employment plans and achieving their career goals.
Promote student autonomy and success in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Deliver competency-based courses in:
Career decision-making
Job integration and retention
Workplace skills and qualifications
Job search strategies
Contribute to the creation of tailored learning paths that reflect local employment realities.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to student development and community engagement.
💰 Salary
Between $46,527 and $92,027 annually, based on experience and qualifications (pro-rated to workload).
🧾 Employment Details
Status: Contractual
Workload: 400 hours
Duration: August to December 2025 (with possibility of renewal)

Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications
Experience in differentiated learning and/or special education.
Understanding of adult education and employability challenges in northern environments.
Knowledge of the SPI program is an asset.
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) may be considered even if they do not meet all the listed qualifications, provided they are willing to complete training as determined by the school board.
