🎯 Description
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) provides educational services in 14 communities across Nunavik. We are seeking a Regional Student Advisor to support school counselors and promote the well-being and success of Inuit youth. This full-time, permanent position starts in February 2026.

✅ Responsibilities

Support school counselors in addressing classroom issues
Assist with reintegrating dropouts into school
Meet regularly with counselors to help manage their workload
Develop tools to facilitate communication between students, teachers, parents, and community
Visit classrooms as needed
Create resources that reinforce Inuit students’ self-image
Advise school staff and education committees while maintaining confidentiality
Liaise with local employers and social services representatives
Work independently and meet deadlines

💰 Salary
$55,282 to $102,857 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications

Proficiency in spoken and written Inuktitut
Strong communication skills with youth and adults
Maturity and ability to work independently
Willingness to participate in regular training (2–3 times per year)
Knowledge of a second language is an asset
Experience working with children and youth aged 5–18 (asset)
