Job description
The pre-employability officer’s role is to support the indigenous clientele furthest from the labour market in its social and professional integration process. To this end, the incumbent develops intervention strategies adapted to the situation of his or her clientele. He or she assesses needs, identifies potential obstacles, and provides the tools, resources and follow-up required to ensure the success of his or her mission.
Required experience and qualifications
- Do you want to work for an organization whose mission is the personal and professional development of First Nations?
- Would you like to help prepare Montréal’s urban indigenous clients to join the labour market?
- Do you have skills in building relationships, in addition to being a good listener, empathetic, discreet, and diplomatic?
- Would you like to support a clientele facing difficulties in entering the labour market?
- Are you fluent in French and in English?
- Do you have experience in intervention, or a degree in special education or in a counselling-related field?
