🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee and manage building, equipment, and grounds maintenance across Nunavik communities. The position includes managing capital projects, monitoring materials and inventory, and supervising maintenance staff.
✅ Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor a preventive and corrective maintenance management system.
Manage small capital projects: cost estimation, material preparation, and supervision of work.
Prepare and get approval for annual orders of equipment and materials.
Collect information on the physical and mechanical state of buildings and equipment.
Maintain stock control and follow up on warehouse inventory.
Travel frequently to communities to verify maintenance services and provide recommendations.
Evaluate and supervise local and regional maintenance staff.
Provide technical training and support to non-specialized personnel.
Participate in the preparation and monitoring of operating and capital budgets.
Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor.
💰 Salary: $88,755 – $118,336 per year, depending on qualifications and experience
Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications:
College Diploma (DEC) in a relevant field, or a valid trade certificate relevant to the position.
Six (6) years of relevant experience (with DEC) or ten (10) years (with trade certificate).
Priority given to candidates qualified to work on oil-heated systems.
Valid driver’s license.
Proficiency in at least two of the three official working languages of the school board: Inuktitut, French, English.
Strong adaptability to remote regions and ability to build relationships with the community.
